Michael DurkeeOwner/Operator A transplant from Philadelphia, PA, Michael brings over 17 years of IT experience to the table. From programming to electronic engineering, Mike has an intuition for anything that operates on a binary level. Despite landing impressive IT positions with very large companies, Michael always knew he wanted to be a business owner. He is passionate about his work and humbles himself by still answering calls and personally checking up on clients in person. Michael operates Tidewater Technologies with charm and a smile and has become known for his goofy antics. In his free time, Michael’s curiosity never rests and you can usually find him with a soldering gun in hand and his latest code on his computer screen to try and simplify another mundane task. Mike enjoys martial arts, camping, comic books, video games, and metal. |

Kailyn DurkeeOffice Manager & Graphic Designer After an absence from the business to be a stay at home mom, Kailyn has returned to the office and has taken the reigns as Manager. It is Kailyn’s goal to maintain positive relationships with clients and satisfy every customers need. Kailyn maintains her role as the in-house designer for Tidewater Technologies, producing all the marketing materials and over-seeing web and social media activity. Kailyn manages client design projects as well, offering her talents for Logo Design, Website Design and Commercial Photography. In her free time, Kailyn is busy keeping her and Michael’s daughter, Abigail, entertained while maintaining her hobbies in music, miniatures, photography, history and camping. |

Cathy GoanReceptionist Cathy or “Cat” is the newest member of the Tidewater Team. Her enthusiasm for learning and her positive spirit has made her a welcome addition to the office. She is the friendly voice on the phone, the smiling face behind the reception desk and the eager first-contact ready to support a customer in need at a moments notice. Cathy enjoys spending time with her children, fishing, cooking and four-wheeling. If you come in on a quiet morning, you might have the pleasure of hearing her amazing singing voice as she serenades the empty office. |

Matt BryantField Technician Supervisor Matt joined the Tidewater Team as an unpaid intern eager to learn the business. His responsibilities evolved from helping out with in-house repairs or assisting on large network jobs to becoming a full time Feild Technician Supervisor, overseeing the day to day feild work from Wifi Installs to Security set-ups. Matt’s dedication to the company can be noted in the late nights he spent hanging drywall in the new office or making 2 AM maintenance calls when tower equipment is threatened by power outtages. On his days off, you are garunteed to find Matt at the Galena Fire House where he is an active member. Matt’s hobbies include playing guitar and spending time outdoors with his fiance. |

Paul BerlenField Technician Paul enthusiastically joined the team as the schedule demanded more hands on deck. Paul has an extensive background in customer service and has quickly learned the ropes for all on-site jobs; he performs Wi-Fi installs, crimps wires, runs cable, climbs ladders, installs security hardware, configures cameras and much more. His hard work in the field has relieved a lot of strain from the work load providing a much better flow to daily operations. Paul is a hobbyist for the outdoors and enjoys spending time fishing in the summer and hunting in the winter side by side with his wife and son. |
